There is always the saying that if you want something done right, you need to do it yourself. The same goes for baking.
You will be better off baking your own delectable desserts because you won’t find them at your local bakery. When you have the right baking supplies, anything is possible.
Rocky Road Parfait
You can make a parfait with all sorts of flavors, but Rocky Road is a favorite. Tall, slender glasses work best to create a stunning effect.
4 cups chocolate pudding
½ cup whipped cream
¼ cup mini marshmallows
¼ cup salted peanuts, chopped
Layer all of the ingredients into a glass. You can choose to create as many layers as you want depending on how many people you want to serve.
Donut Pops
Cake pops have been overdone, so you can put a spin on the modern trend.
12 donut holes
½ cup chocolate frosting
½ cup candy bars, chopped.
12 wooden skewers.
Melt the frosting in a microwave-safe bowl for approximately 20 seconds until it is softened. Place a skewer through each donut hole and then dip into the frosting. Sprinkle the chopped candy bar pieces on top and let them dry.
No-bake Cheesecake
When you want cheesecake but don’t have the time to bake it, you can use this recipe as well as a good springform pan.
20 sheets of graham crackers, crumbled
1 1/3 sticks butter, melted
2 tablespoons of sugar
16 ounces cream cheese
1 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix the graham crackers with the melted butter until it forms a paste. Spread around the base of the springform pan. Mix all other ingredients into a bowl and then pour over crust. Use a spatula to smooth over the top, cover with plastic wrap, and then refrigerate for three hours or overnight.
Orange Soda Cupcakes
If you love orange soda, then consider making cupcakes that use real orange soda. The recipe is one of the simplest available because you can buy a boxed vanilla cake mix.
Box of yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup of orange soda
Mix all of the ingredients and distribute into a cupcake pan with liners. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. Once cooled, top with your favorite frosting.
Double Chocolate Muffins
The best thing about double chocolate muffins is that they can be enjoyed for breakfast or dessert.
¾ cup of brown sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 2/3 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup Greek Yogurt, plain
1 ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
6 tablespoons hot water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
Mix all wet ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Mix all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and beat with a mixer. Power the mix into muffin pans that have been sprayed with nonstick spray. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes then reduce heat to 350 and back for 10 more minutes. Let cool before removing from the pan.
